Borrowers must have a valid library card with any Public Library in Polk County. Your library card barcode number and PIN (ID number) are needed. Please visit your local library to obtain this information.

Synchronization Issues Between Amazon & Overdrive

Amazon and Overdrive are having technical issues synchronizing user accounts. 

Sometimes when users return ebooks from their Kindle the ebook shows as returned in their Amazon account but not in their Overdrive account. 

Technicians at Overdrive and Amazon are working to correct the issue.

If you should experience this issue please follow the instructions for your device on the right side of the screen.

If you are still unable to find the answers to your questions in any of the above help categories
please contact support with a detailed description of your problem or question.

In order to best help you and to accurately facilitate troubleshooting, please include the following information in your correspondence:
  • Library card number
  • Title(s) of problem download(s)
  • Steps to reproduce the problem
  • Exact text of any error messages
  • URLs of any error pages
  • Applicable software
  • Operating system (Mac® OS 10.6.5, Windows® 7, iOS v4.2, etc.)
  • Internet browser (Internet Explorer® 8, Firefox® 3.6, Safari 5.0, etc.)
